Located in the midst of the Yarra Valley, Rustic Charm at Wild Cattle Creek is only a short drive from the nearby Dandenongs – the home of Puffing Billy, beautiful gardens, and the quaint villages of Olinda, Kalaroma, Sassafras and Belgrave where you will find plenty of leisurely shopping – arts, crafts, clothes and antiques.
Only two minutes drive from Wild Cattle Creek, also in Wandin, you will find Warratina Lavender Farm, Katandra Gardens, (an internationally renowned native garden), antique and craft shops and Mont Delancey historic home.
Head off to the north east to visit Healesville Sanctuary and then onto Healesville and Yarra Glen where you will find more cellar doors and more antique and art and craft shops.
Continue east along the Warburton Highway, following the meandering Yarra River to Warburton where you can relax by the river and take in the views of Mount Donna Buang.
Don't forget to pick up a Yarra Valley Regional Food Trail brochure and follow the blue and orange signs which will take you to places of hidden delights!
Or if you are staying along the Warburton highway, there is the Warburton to Lilydale Rail Trail approximately 30 kilometres in distance, where you can walk or cycle at your leisure. Wild Cattle Creek is only a kilometre south from the Burgi Hill Road exit. You can pre-order a picnic pack with a bottle of wine.
And, if you don't want to do the driving yourself, there are specialist winery tour companies to take you around.
Dine with us on Wednesday or Thursday evenings in June and July and receive a complimentary cheese or dessert platter when you buy at least 2 main courses.
