The festive season is well and truly upon us. The vines are looking very lush and the fruit has started to form, so we now eagerly await the outcome in a few months. If you are pushed for time to catch up with friends before Christmas, consider our Sunday breakfast. Available from 9am to 11am, the menu offers great value with options for a light breakfast to the big Rustic Breakfast which will give you sustenance until dinner time! We will also be open on Mondays for lunch during December and January, but closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Great value Summer DiningDuring the month of January and February, we celebrate the great Aussie BBQ and wish to offer a great value dinner that you don't have to clean up after! Chef will prepare the meats and salads for you and your guests to cook at your leisure on the BBQ in the Gazebo. Chef will deliver the meat and give you a briefing on what has been prepared and how best to cook it ... why, he'll even be happy to recommend the complimenting beer and wine! $35 per person includes a selection of meats and salads with anti pasto platters to graze on while you cook your dinner. Tables will be set for you in the Gazebo and all crockery and glassware provided. You just need to bring your friends and cook at your leisure. To celebrate Australia Day we will be having an Aussie BBQ for our next Chef's Table dinner on Friday January 23rd, 2009. Weather permitting this will be a casual Alfresco night under the stars with a band playing. $78 per person will include pre dinner canapés, bbq feast, dessert and cheese platters with matched wines and beers all accompanied by live "Classic Aussie Rock" music. StaffCongratulations to all of our staff members who have succesfully completed exams. Our "baby" Kate now has her Drivers Licence (watch out Wandin!) to finish off a great year for her. It has been very rewarding to see this young lady grow up before our eyes. Rob and Matt have both completed their First Year apprenticeship and going back to tackle the second year. Well done to all the staff that have been working very long and hard hours for the last month. They sure are looking forward to a short break over Christmas to spend time with their families. Aromas of melon and citrus, a palate filled with layers of citrus and hints of tropical fruits, finishing crisp and clean - a great accompaniment to summer salads and Christmas seafood. Strawbery & Cointreau Jam, Spiced Cranberry & Port jelly and Mad Dog Mustard are the most popular preserves products at the moment. During December and January the Cellar Door is open Wednesday to Friday from 11.30am to 4pm in addition to our weekend trading hours.
